Little by Little

I LOVE YOU TOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has been hard, but it has been getting better. We live in cocoyotla. We've given away only 1 Book of Mormon this week. We usually only give one at the end of lesson 1.  We have like 7 investigators. (We need more) Cholula is cool. I'll probably need to buy some new shoes for my birthday.

I can honestly say that I have already seen some serious progress, and I am not nearly as stressed about what is before me as I was last week. Hopefully we can keep up a solid progress. We have been able to keep up our studies, and we were able to do A LOT of cleaning today. (Something that this house has needed for a while) We had regularly scheduled interviews with the president this week. He helped me see that I needed to help him by being a good, loving example, and he told me that there was a huge ppotential in our area that we needed to find. The assistants made a "9 steps to baptism" poster that organized the investigators and their needs for effective planning. After the interviews I said to Elder Diaz that we needed to make something similar what the assistants had. He started to get excited and put everything on the whiteboard we have in our house. (Sadly we have to give it back to the district leader, but it was a big step, because the first week he only wanted to do a 10 minute weekly planning session) We are now taking our time, and things are starting to go well. Elder Diaz got so pumped about trying to get this ward excited that he planned an activity for the ward that we are going to present to the Bishop. We are going to have a new list of less actives from the bishop today, talk with the Elder's Quorum President Wednesday about Home Teachers and the new list, and try to talk with the leaders of the organizations to organize this activity well. We are also going to work with our ward mission leader to organize or ward missionaries into companionships hopefully with personal investigator assignments and goals.
There is a lot of stuff in the process, and I'm trying to take things day by day. Hopefully we can help this ward to be self-sufficient spiritually. Sadly we had some investigators that cancelled their wedding, but hopefully they'll be able to figure things out. I'm still trying to learn this area well, and I still have a lot of people to meet.
I hope everything keeps going well with you guys.

Seeing Others Through Celestial Eyes

I love you mom. Thanks for your last letter, I actually didn't even get time to read it. We had a lot of stuff to do. I really need to see this new companion through celestial eyes. My companion's name is Elder Diaz, he is from Victoria Tamaulipas in northern Mexico. I am in Cholula. The area is nice. We have a whole shopping center in my area. The members are nice. The work will hopefully get a little better as we go. When you search Puebla in google you always see that cathedral on a hill with the mountain in the background right? That "hill," actually a pyramid, is right next to my area) To answer your questions, we live in an apartment. We got here by taxi. The zone isn't that far. I love my companion. Like Chellie said, she didn't get to be really good buds with all of her companions, I'm still not totally sure with this one. The past week has been good. The whole ward is our area. I think like 150 members came to church on Sunday. The weather is nice. It doesn't rain as much here. I try my best to be happy. Pray for me that this week will go better. I'm excited to skype on Mother’s Day too :D I am the senior companion. My companion has almost the exact same amount of time in the mission as I do.
I’m so happy for Alex being able to start his Day Program. YAY FOR THE ENRICHMENT CENTER! That makes me happy :D
I think about you guys and pray for you every day. Just keep praying for me. Give me lots o lovin :D

Honestly, I like the questions. They help. Could you guys send me pictures every week? Also, Could you and Dad email me about what it was like to be new converts?

General Conference Week

Transfers are a week from tomorrow. I am excited for a change, but it's going to be strange if I do. Although I think that I will.
I loved conference. It was really great. God discerned my needs, because the questions that I came with where not immediately answered; however, many questions that I forgot I had were answered. I'm glad that you got to see it all. I was able to see conference in English from the Family History Center :D We did however see Elder Pino's talk in Spanish. Elder Packer's talk was awesome. I really enjoyed it. With Elder Holland's talk, we barely took notes. I was so glued to the screen that my pen hardly touched my paper. I loved his talk. I never knew that Christ was also called the second Adam. I loved what Elder Holland said about Christ grasping us like a lightning bolt in a summer storm. The whole talk I was on the edge of my seat. (Or rather, hanging from the edge of a cliff :D)
I can't wait for the Mexico City temple to be finished. I really want to go.
Well, this week has been different. All of our investigators where on break, so we had a bit of a hard time filling up our week with work. I was also a little sick for a few days, so this week has been really really different from the normal week between that and conference. I'm glad to be here, and I'm glad to get back into the game this week. I studied about my purpose as a missionary this morning to get me pumped.  We were going to have 2 baptisms this weekend, but that depended on their attendance at the conference.
I really enjoyed the conference. There were very few talks that I wasn't very touched by I really liked the 70's talks this year too. They were right on. Sorry that I don't have my notes with me. I liked all the ones that applied to missionaries (Especially on from Elder Eyring in Priesthood Session), YSA, Marriage (Especially the one from the R.S. President), Family (Especially Elder Packer's), and enduring to the end (one in Spanish and the one right after or before it-Can't remember). And that music one with the dancing and not hearing the music of the gospel. Basically I loved it all. Anyway, I have to get going. I'll try to write more next week. (We have to wash our clothes with a different member today)
